Why Visit: Dangriga
Dangriga is widely considered the cultural capital of Belize, and the town we know today is shaped by the fact that it was founded as a home for shipwrecked Garifuna refugees. Why Visit: Hopkins
Garifuna culture also looms large over the small fishing village of Hopkins. Less developed and less visited, this town is home to some truly pristine beaches and fille with authentic shops and restaurants. It’s also one of the best launching points for exploring the surrounding areas.
