Belize’s popularity as a premier travel destination continues to soar, prompting the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) and United Airlines to unveil a new seasonal non-stop flight route. Starting December 21, 2024, travelers can fly directly from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City.
Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This new route opens a world of possibilities for travelers seeking adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion in a remarkable and unique destination.”
The new route not only offers a direct connection for those in Northern California, but it also creates unique one-stop connections from various Asian, European, and South Pacific cities. This marks United’s fifth hub with non-stop service to Belize, adding to its existing flights from Houston and seasonal flights from other major cities.

Departs SFO at 12:30 am, arrives BZE at 7:54 am (6:54 am during daylight savings)
Departs BZE at 10:15 am (9:15 am during daylight savings), arrives SFO at 2:24 pm
Saturdays only
3/31/25 to 4/30/25 and 5/22/25 to 8/17/25:
Departs SFO at 1:10 pm, arrives BZE at 7:43 pm
Departs BZE at 9:30 am, arrives SFO at 2:24 pm
SFO to BZE Saturdays only / BZE to SFO Sundays only
